Description
Lets go back 40 years to 1967. I decided to list a 1st press mono Beatles Sgt. Pepper and the Rolling Stones 1967 answer to that historical album. Both are in VERY nice keeper condition.
Here is an original 1st press Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band LP in the highly prized MONO mix. This is the way this record was meant to be heard, no comparison to stereo, thus the high value. The label lists 'A Little Help From My Friends', not 'With A Little Help...
The cover has no MACLEN credits. The package hold all 1st press signs and is in very sweet condition. The original inner sleeve is NM and the cut-outs are included. For a 40 year old record it is pretty close to NM collector grade, but not quite. Good Luck finding better ones in mono 1st press state. This one is a keeper. I will start bidding at my usual 9.99 ...don't let me down.
Label: Capitol Records MAS-2653
Year: 1967
Disk: EX (only a few micro sleeve lines, plays with NO surface noise)
Cover: EX (Crisp seams, no writing, decent corners, close to NM, only the slightest surface wear on red back.)
Includes red, pink and white inner sleeve and cut-outs
I ship records properly, 'disk out of cover' in a 2 ml poly sleeve and sent in a cardboard LP mailer. Questions are welcomed. Bid with confidence.
VINYL GRADING
M- = a pristine record. Displays NO marks, appears to be unplayed.
NM = a near mint record. May have VERY minor micro marks that can ONLY be seen in bright light and plays with NO surface noise.
EX = a sweet record. May have only a few micro-sleeve lines or minor superficial marks that do NOT affect play. NM-
VG+ = a well-kept record. May have superficial marks but plays with MINIMAL surface sound ONLY in quiet passages if any at all.
VG = a nice used record. Has visible marks, light scratches and MINOR surface noise only in quiet passages but is still a very good listening experience.
VG- = a well-used record. Has marks, minor scratches, some surface noise, but still plays through with NO skips and is still enjoyable. This grade is only sold by me if the record is a rare collectable.

Note: I try to grade records the way they were graded before ebay and the internet, graded in a way that would be as if the buyer could hold it in their hand and inspect it before buying. I could probably call this disk NM and the buyer would be happy. I address marks that can only be seen under close inspection. This item demands honesty, mainly because it is the best issue of an album that is an apex in music history. And serious Beatles collectors demand well preserved original items. Well, this is one. The disk plays like one heard in 1967. If even the slightest dust tick can be heard, clean it. I have not used chemicals or discwasher technics on it, There is no reason to. I hope the winner is someone who is willing to take a chance, attempting to win this album in 'keeper' condition, a first press mono w/ a NM inner sleeve and the silly cut-outs, best of all, a disk that plays PERFECT. I took a chance listing this item at this time. I am feeling the waters. I have a 'MINT DISK' Satanic Majesties Request listed too. They are both the real deal, offered from a buyer that sells vinyl exclusively. Someone is going to be very pleased with this item. Questions are more than welcomed, they are invited. This item is 100% guaranteed to be as described.
