DESCRIPTION: Beatles LP- Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. MONO. In fully laminated (inside and out) G&L gatefold sleeve with visible flaps. With cut out insert and red/white inner sleeve with made in great britain and patents applied for text. 1st UK press with B&Y parlophone labels with the gramophone co and sold in UK. Matrix numbers XEX 637-1/ 638-1. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Parlophone PMC 7027 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1967 original COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very, very clean with a nice dark sheen. If youre inclined to tilt it to the light you may notice a couple of very light brushing/hairlines. Visually this is very near to EX. Played in its entirety tonight on my Pro-ject deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent. It has a very occasional soft tick and occasional light background sound between some tracks. . Super playing copy. Cover is firm and square with decent nice and has light edgewear (moderate to spine) , moderate cornerwear and light creasing. Inside of gatefold is very clean. Rear sleeve has a small area of sticker residue. Clean labels with only very light spindlewear. Insert is EX, firm and square with only very light wear. Red/white inner retains super shape and is EX with light wear, light yellowing , no splits and not even any feathering!! . These are usually shredded! . Overall no writing, stickers or sticker tears. A complete, clean and nice playing 1st UK pressing of one of the best LPs ever. This was my own copy for a very long time until a very recent upgrade. PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS BEEN KEPT IN A PVC SLEEVE AND THATS HOW I WILL SEND IT YOU. PACKED, IT WEIGHS OVER 500GM WITH OR WITHOUT THE PVC SLEEVE. THIS TAKES IT INTO THE UNDER 750GM POST CATEGORY, THATS WHY ITS A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE TO POST OVERSEAS THAN A USUAL SINGLE DISC LP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
