Description

The Beatles original vinyl album ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ first lacquer first pressing 1967 - NEAR MINT

Parlophone label 1967 MONO complete with comic insert

ALBUM: Near Mint first lacquer first pressing

Yellow lettering on black label, silver type for listings

The spindle hole shows very little use or damage and the label minimal spindle marking.

Both sides of record look clean and nearly mint - very close inspection show a small light mark but nothing serious. I can’t be any more honest - this is a close to mint album as I see it.

If you are concerned as to the condition of this album, please look at my other listings (below) to see how honestly I have listed them - if there is a scratch or a tear I say so - and that philosophy is carried through to this Sgt Pepper album which is as described here imho.

TODAY I AM LISTING THE FOLLOWING ORIGINAL VINYL LPs (conditions vary): Sgt Pepper, Beatles; Help , Beatles; Abbey Road, Beatles; With the Beatles, Beatles; Imagine, John Lennon.

I AM NOT A DEALER OR A VINYL RECORD EXPERT - OR AN ANYTHING EXPERT FOR THAT MATTER - SO PLEASE READ MY LISTINGS THOROUGHLY AND LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. I AM, THOUGH, SENSIBLE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU A VERY GOOD IDEA OF THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM LISTED HERE, BASED ON MY INTERPRETATION OF THE RECORD CONDITION LISTINGS SHOWN BELOW. I HAVE GIVEN AN HONEST DESCRIPTION OF THE VINYL, AND SLEEVE, AS I SEE IT AND ITS OVERALL PRESENTATION AND BASE MY PRICE EXPECTATIONS ON MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. IT IS NOT A LISTENING GRADE. POSTAGE PRICES WILL BE BASED ON GENUINE POST OFFICE QUOTATIONS AND I WILL PACK TO KEEP THE ITEM SAFE. THANKYOU FOR LOOKING.

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. Sold if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
