The Beatles Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, item number PCS 7027, stereo recording, red colored vinyl record, from parlaphone/EMI. Only date on record is 1967, no UPC barcode anywhere, inner record sleeve is bright white with two holes in the middle as shown. Has picture gatefold, as shown.

I am not a vinyl expert by any means (digital media is my expertise), I have no idea what pressing this is so you guys out there will have to figure it out; feel free to ask questions. The sleeve and inner jacket are so great I swear this is a modern reissue, even the excellent surface of the vinyl (not the color) points it to being a modern rerelease, but I could find no such modern rerelease like this. One thing that points this to being a vintage pressing is the discoloration of the red vinyl (see below.) This is a red vinyl release in stereo, there are examples of this on eBay of red mono recordings, but not a red stereo one. There are red vinyl releases of this from Japan from Odeon, this is NOT a Japanese release.

Record appears to have an excellent surface, when examined under a light all the grooves are visible and clearly defined, only surface flaw I could find under a light was a very faint little mark on the surface (and only visible under a light.) Record surface has black spots and discoloration, as shown, when held to a light the black discoloration throughout is visible. I have no idea what this black discoloration is, I suspect it is the colored vinyl turning black as it appears to be not on the surface but in the middle of the vinyl itself. One spot on record has a white discoloration spot, examined under a light you can see the grooves uninterrupted so I believe it is a flaw in the color or turned white (see picture 7 to see white spot, to the left there is a hair on the surface not a scratch.) Has one other much smaller similar spot.

Sleeve is in great shape, just a few minor wrinkles (no color break) along spine, has 2 teeny indentations on upper left and upper right on front of sleeve. Great surface gloss, clean and shiny.
