Description
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Parlophone/ Odeon DC 1 LP 1967)
This is an original French Limited Edition LP pressing from 1978. Released as part of the "Special Disque En Couleur" series of LP's. It is pressed on Purple Vinyl. These were quite limited at the time & are consequently quite rare.
It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has a large circular "Disque En Couleur" sticker on the front. It comes with its original "Cut-Out" Insert which is printed on card. It has its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on Purple Vinyl & has 1st press matrix stampers.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is a 2 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the very centre of the spine. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a very small tear at the rear sleeve opening. VG condition. The "cut-out" insert is in VG++ condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is are a couple of light pressing marks. There are a couple of small & light hairline marks too. VG condition. The labels are in near excellent condition & show light spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is a 6 cm seam split at the centre bottom. Otherwise, mild ringwear & creasing, & some more moderate fading.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG overall & VG+ in some places. There is some light, mild or more moderate, in a few areas only, crackle in some quieter places. There are no loud clicks or pops.
