Description

Beatles Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band lp PMC

Matrix numbers - XEX 937-1 and XEX 938-1

Tax Code - KT

The lp is graded ex. It is flat and retains its original glossy shine. In normal light it is very clean and free from blemishes with literally one or two barely visible marks. Under intense light there are a number of very light wispy marks consistent with the lp being removed to play. These do not affect the sound at all. There are no clicks, pops or jumps; indeed the sound is excellent throughout. There is a very light static crackle in the run in which could probably be removed with a professional clean. Otherwise the lp is perfect - a really good example of this great record.

The labels are in graded VG+ there are no tears stickers or residue. There is a slightly faded patch where someone has removed the original owner's shading of the P in Parlophone (see photo) and the usual spindle marks. Otherwise the labels are in great shape.

The cover is graded ex-. There is the remnant of a name on the inside of the cover. There is no ink so it is difficult to see the name but the impression of can be seen if the cover is angled to the light. There is a little smudging/fading where the laminate doesn't reach on the top right of the front cover, a couple of light creases and some light wearing to one corner. Otherwise this is a stunning example of this cover. The laminate is fresh and clean. The openings are crisp and undamaged. The spine is completely undamaged (a rarity on this lp). If the previous owners name were not visible (and it is barely visible) the grading would be ex+.

The cardboard cutouts are in vg- condition. They are clean and intact but unfortunately someone has started to cut out the stripes.

The inner sleeve is graded ex-. There is a very small spot of green ink on one side. Otherwise the sleeve is in stunning condition for its age.

This is a lovely copy of this lp: one that any buyer will be more than happy with.
