THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial June 1967 release on yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with the 'KT' purchase tax code present in the centre of the side 1 label
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 1/ALR & 7/ARL
Vinyl weight: 143g
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipover 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover with a regular width spine.
Complete with its original red & white 'The Fool' designed inner-sleeve & unused dark-green cut-out sheet.

A clean & undamaged set with numerous trails around each centre hole but no writing or missing paper.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean & unworn deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight - i.e. free from any scuffs, marks or scratches. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk reveals little more than some harmless visible wispy paper-type hairlines but nothing I would call a scratch. both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat ion the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This fine sounding copy has received a moderate amount of careful play and is free from any significant deterioration to the sound quality overall. In fact, apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background during some of the quiet passages, there really is little to faul here and much to enjoy.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A highly respectable example of this iconic cover variant which retains a vibrant & unworn front panel clean bearing just three small 'thumbnail' wrinkles to its high-gloss laminate. All corners are in fine shape with no bumps or wear to any and no tears or significant wear to any opening edge.
The rear panel is clean & vibrant with just a single tiny 'thumbnail' & a small handful of spine wrinkles but no ring wear form the disc.
Both panels of the inside are immaculate and 'as new' and both upper & lower seams or both pockets are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
There spine is fully laminated along its entire length and all of the wording is clean & readable.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some gentle storage bends but no writing, tears or seam splits.
