Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & bright pair with just a small collection of clumsy spindle marks around both centre holes, but no major faults.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surface of this extremely well-looked after copy are clean, glossy with just two very faint surface marks not scratches) on side 2 but absolutely no other visual wear in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow shine together with some harmless inner-sleeve storage marks but no hairlines or any other visual wear whatsoever. Both sides of this fine, heavyc copy lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of any dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has clearly received only some extremely careful play on top-quality equipment. The sound throughout this superior mono mix is clean & warm and my careful play-check at volume detected no significant deterioration to the sound quality on any track. All of the delicate quieter passages such as the introduction to 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' play without interference but if I were to be critical, I did detect a touch of wear to 'She's Leaving Home' and on the orchestral crescendo on 'A Day In the Life', but not enough to spoil the enjoyment of this fine copy.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
A really superb example of this rare cover variant which retains a completely unscratched high-gloss laminate with just a single very faint 'thumbnail' wrinkles near the front opening edge, but no further signs of at all. There is a tiny bruise to the upper left corner but all others are perfectly clean & square and all opening edges are clean & sharp with just a hint of wear to the rear one. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate save for a few slivers of missing paper on the edges of the flipbacks. The rear panel is as vivid & vibrant as the front with the only blemish being two faint 'thumbnails' and spine wrinkles. All seams all are smooth, unstressed & unsplit. The 'wide' spine is clean square & un-crushed along its entire length and retains a 100% laminate covering & is perfectly worded.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
A vibrant clean & flat example with a light disc impression and a fe small sections of missing paper on one side but no writing or splits to any seam.
