THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1967 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This excellent mono copy is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the center of the side 2 label.
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed 'Patents Pending' mono gatefold cover.
This copy was originally purchased with a plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.
Also present is it original, unused cut-out insert.

A clean & bright set with just a small collection of spindle marks to each label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides of this extremely well looked after copy are MINT & totally unmarked on strong daylight. Both sides retain all of their deep-gloss rainbow gloss and even on close examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp I failed to find anything more than literally a handful of barely visible wispy paper hairlines - it really is that good. Both sides of course lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This very respectable sounding copy has received just some careful play and is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or has any major audible faults. My careful playcheck at volume uncovered no groovewear distortion, background noise or indeed any clicks pops or other such distraction. A really fine listening copy which will not disappoint.

EXCELLENT
A superb nice example of the rarer 'Patents Pending' variant with a perfect, unscratched high-gloss front laminate which displays a few wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' front or rear. There is a touch of shelfwear to the lower corners and some small 'pushes' to the opening edges but no tears or major damage. The inside of the gatefold is clean & unmarked and all seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit. the spine is fully laminated and perfectly
worded.
