THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'

This final & best sounding mono pressing of the 1960's was one of only three titles to be issued in that format in October 1969.

This great sounding disc comes from one from a single batch bearing the '1-EMI box' Parlophone label: PMC 7027 

Matrices: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1

Stamper codes: 2/MPG & 1,9/MOL

Vinyl weight: 134g 

Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipover mono gatefold cover with both mono & stereo catalogue numbers in the rear upper right corner.

Complete with unused cut-out sheet & original plain white 'Patent Nos.1,125 555'  inner-sleeve.

 

CONDITION

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A clean & unworn set with a handful of well-aimed spindle trail around each centre hole.

Disc: EXCELLENT +

Super-clean, unworn playing surfaces which bear just one or two very small/light marks on side 1 beneath halogen light. Played just a few times on quality equipment, the sound throughout is flawless.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A 1st class example of this hard to find cover which retains a vibrant panels and an unscratched all-round with no 'thumbnail' wrinkles front or rear. The only significant sign of wear is a small bend to the lower left corner. Both panels inside are immaculate. The spine is fully laminated & worded and all seams are smooth & unsplit.
