THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
Just a few hundred copies were pressed of this album in mono on this '1-EMI box' Parlophone label in October 1969: PMC 7027
Both labels bear the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text & 'The Gramophone Co...' rims.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 4/RTP & 2/RAM
Vinyl weight: 150g
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipover 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono gatefold cover with a regular width spine.
Complete with its unused dark-green cut-out sheet & original white 'Patent no.' inner-sleeve.

Both are clean & unworn with nothing more than some faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean but do bear several light scuffs & inner-sleeve removal marks along with a 5mm scratch on side 1 which is just feelable beneath my fingertips. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp adds some further wispy paper hairlines, but no other significant or major blemishes.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
Despite the surface wear this copy has no major deterioration to the sound quality and is free from any groove/playwear distortion. The only significant audible distraction is a moderate repeating click throughout most of 'Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds' along with some light background during some of the quieter passages. However, there are no jumps, repeats or any other major audible faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean, vibrant & high-gloss example with bears light handling & storagewear and no major faults throughout.
The front panel is clean and retains its high-gloss finish with just 3 'thumbnail' wrinkles and a touch of storage rubbing. There is light bruising to the upper left and lower right corners along with light wear to the rear opening edge.
The rear panel is clean & vibrant with a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle together with an unavoidable light disc impression from storage.
Both panels of the inside are immaculate.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and all of the spine is laminate and the wording fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with no writing, tears or seam splits.
