Description

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. It comes with its original "Psychedelic" red & white inner sleeve. This is printed on paper. It has the "Patents Applied For" text. It comes with its original Cut-Out Insert. This is printed on card.

The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. It has 1st press XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are RLG 4 and MAH 10 respectively. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing complete with the Psychedelic Inner Sleeve & "cut-out" Insert.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is some light or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some very light rippling in the top left corner. There is some light or very mild ringwear in some areas. VG++ condition. The card "cut-out" insert is in VG++ condition. It shows some light rippling wear & a very light stain on the rear "blank" side.

Vinyl: There is a light or very mild warp. It doesn't notice too much & does not affect playback at all. It could probably be straightened out too. Otherwise, there are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are 4 light, but quite long, hairline marks on Side 2. These measure from 8 cm to 14 cm. The longest hairline mark arches around slightly. As stated, these are very light & are not that noticeable. There is a light 3 cm hairline mark on Side 1 too. VG condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show light or mild spindle wear only.
The custom "Psychedelic" Inner Sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light or mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits. I shall place the vinyl in a separate plain paper inner sleeve to protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during transit.

I have fully play tested this LP. Side 1 plays Near EX to EX overall. There is some light or very minor crackle in a few quieter places. Side 2 plays VG+ to Near EX overall. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
