Description
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. It comes with a period company plain paper inner sleeve. It comes with its original Cut-Out Insert. This is printed on card.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. They have a"KT" tax code stamped around the spindle hole on Side 2. The record has 1st press XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are L 1 and A 1 respectively. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the spine. This has caused some cracking & splitting to the laminate on the spine. There is some light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or vrey mild ringwear on some areas. VG++ condition. The card "cut-out" insert is in VG condition. It has a light vertical crease at the centre. There is some light or mild rippling on some areas.
Vinyl: There is a very minor warp. It hardly notices & does not affect playback. There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is a noticeable 7 cm surface scuff or rub mark on Side 2. There are 4 or 5 light hairline marks too. They measure 1 cm and 4 cm in length.
Good+ condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. There is a small 6 cm seam split at the centre of the bottom edge.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG overall & VG+ in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background. This is more noticeable in the quieter places. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle. The music still shines through! There are no noticeable loud clicks or pops. It does not jump or stick. Overall, a very serviceable copy.
