Up for bid is a rare 45, "My Bonnie / The Saints," by The Beatles with Tony Sheridan. This is promo press with yellow interior labels, released by MGM (K13213) in 1964. The interior label on the side that contains "My Bonnie" has an "X" in faded black marker. The matrix info for the side that contains "My Bonnie" reads 64-XY-326-2. The first two numbers of this matrix info was originally "63" but has been scratched through and "64" has been etched to the left of the scratched through "63." To the left of this set of numbers is another etched set of numbers that reads K-13213. The matrix info for the side that contains "The Saints" reads 64 XY 327-3. The first four numbers of this matrix info was originally "63 63" but both sets has been scratched through and "64" has been stamped to the left of the scratched through sets of "63." To the left of this set of numbers is another etched set of numbers that reads K-13213. 45 is VG+, with noticeable scuffs on either side. 45 plays with some surface noise (noticeable crackle) and no skips. I am sure a professional clean would eliminate some of this surface noise. 45 retains a nice gloss and is contained in an open faced white sleeve. We acquired a couple more rare Beatles 45s along with this one, with will also be listed for auction.
