This auction is for the 1964 Vee Jay Records release of Songs Pictures and Stories Of The Fabulous Beatles - VJ record number 1092 and also 1062. The record is in a nice VG++ condition and the cover is in a nice VG++ condition. This was purchased new by my family at a Sears Roebuck Store (either in Valley Stream NY or Brooklyn NY). The Sears shrink wrap is still on the cover but has a few faults which I will point out. The bottom right front corner of the shrink is torn and there is paper loss beneath it on the very bottom right cover. The spine is totally intact and appears no issues, but the plastic shrink on the upper portion separated at the seam, again, the plastic shrink Not the spine itself. The back of the cover, the plastic shrink wrap over John's face has a number of small holes in it and John's picture beneath has some orange color loss in the areas just below the small holes in the plastic shrink. It appears the seams on the actual cover are intact and I would assume the inside center fold open cover is also issue free as this has not been out of the shrink. Shrink wrap on all albums were not industry standard in 1964, so some distributors and stores like Sears would put their own shrink wrap on.
