READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

There are a few variations of the “All Rights Reserved” label variations which are genuinely rare.  This past week, I’ve been asked about them a couple of times.  So this week, I will be selling a few different examples of the rarest variations.  For more information, please consider contacting me, regarding purchasing my books on flash drive, which go into sharp detail on this and all label variations, title by title.

Beatles’ Story LP 1975 Apple “All Rights” Two Lines at the Label Bottom, RAREST and NM!

It’s very hard to determine which variation is rarer, this one with the disclaimer at the bottoms of the labels or the scrolling “All Rights” for this title.  Each of them did not have complete printing runs for all four labels before the Apple contract expired, and the labels reverted to the orange Capitol label.

This copy has the disclaimer on three of the four labels.

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  NM/NM.  MAYBE one hairline among all four sides.  And I say that in case there’s one I simply cannot find with closely looking.  All four sides look very close to unplayed.

Plates--- W8/A5. W6/W9.  Machine-Stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on all four sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- Nice VG.  Structurally solid cover.  Front cover shows moderate ringwear, heavy at the bottom. Back cover has light ringwear.  Both sides have extremely little dirtwear.  Only light yellowing around the edges.  Top and bottom seams have light to moderate shelfwear.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.  True to its grade, this cover really is very good.

Gatefold--- EX.  A trace amount of dirtwear on the left panel.  No yellowing or browning.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM. NM/NM.  I can’t find a single spindle mark among all four sides.  Jax labels have the tell-tale ring around the circumference of the labels.  Side 1 label has some ripple from the manufacturing process.

Side 1 label is the only one that lacks the disclaimer.  All the other three have it.  I’ve never seen another copy of this variation in my life, so I don’t know if there exists a copy where all four labels have it.

Apple Inner Sleeves--- EX/EX. Generic white inner sleeves with die-cut holes for the labels to show are present.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeves en route.  Both sleeves share the same crease from improper insertion at the Jacksonville factory.  Both sleeves has lightly yellowed.  Both are still in very sturdy condition, NO SPLIT SEAMS BETWEEN THEM.

RIAA: 16.  This is significant.  Copies of The Beatles’ Story with RIAA numbers are scarce to begin with, and when you find one, it’s almost always 12.  RIAA number is located inside the gatefold at the bottom right corner if you’d like to check yours.

**There’s a reason you’ve never seen this label variation before for this title.  And there’s an even better reason why you’re never going to see one of these again.  This is the first and only one I’ve ever seen since 1975.**

**And if this copy were ever played, I’ll bet it was just once.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
