Description
This is a rare first pressing including the original picture sleeve in near mint condition. Only 250,000 copies were made with the picture sleeve (R 5570).
The picture cover is completely intact with no tears and only slight imprint of the record. There is minor wear around the original wavy opening. On the back is a small age spot and includes the text “E.M.I. Records” and “Made and Printed in Great Britain”. Only 250,000 copies were made with the picture sleeve. This cover is rated near mint.
The 7” vinyl itself lies flat and only has a few minor needle marks It is graded as EXCELLENT condition. In 1966 EMI changed from a push-out centre to solid centre's as a default and this record contains the solid centre. Both the labels have “The Gramophone Co Ltd.” and “Sold in the UK” messages and have a few spindle marks around the hole. Side 2 shows the KT tax mark. Matrix numbers are 7XCE 18415-1 and 7XCE 18416-2 which is a first pressing for this record.
This also includes the paper inner sleeve which contains only minor wear around the opening and no tears.
This is an excellent example of this momentous single and it is rare to find one in such good condition.
