Beatles Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane East Coast Sleeve and 45 VG++ Vinyl

All of the picture sleeves that are for sale this week have first pressing 45’s from the A-List of my collection.  Most of these are either VG++ or Near Mint.  The sleeves are at least in VG+ condition.  Please have a look at them all!

Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane East Coast Sleeve and 45

Vinyl---Very strong VG+ to VG++.  The “Penny Lane” label has a “PHILIP” sticker on it.  One or two extremely light needle lines in the vinyl that you can only detect under a strong bare light bulb.  The running time is the incorrect timing from the green label promo of 3:00, rather than the correct running time of 2:57.  The “Strawberry Fields Forever” side has about that same level of extremely light needle mark or two that you won’t see unless you shine a light source directly onto it.  There is also a light manufacturer’s defect at the one o’clock position.  Besides those flaws, this 45 looks like store stock-new condition under normal room lighting.

Picture Sleeve---East Coast straight-cut sleeve and 45.  Due to a water stain under “The Beatles,” which transfers to the back of the sleeve as well, this copy can only be graded as VG.  Without the stain, there are light to moderate creases and outdent on both sides.  Would have been a VG+ sleeve without the stain, but as you can see in the photos, the stain isn’t very large.  Seams are intact solid, no splits.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
