I am selling more BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES and 45RPM RECORDS (duplicates) from my collection. So, please check my other current and upcoming auctions.

In this auction are the following: 1original Beatles Picture Sleeve and 1 original Apple 45 RPM record.

Here are the details about the record and picture sleeve in this auction:

·        “BALLAD OF JOHN AND YOKO” b/w “OLD BROWN SHOE” by The Beatles

·       This is Apple Records 2531. 

·       This record was released June 4, 1969.

·       This picture sleeve is significant. It is among the last original Apple picture sleeves (meaning issued when the band was still together). Only “Let It Be” and “The Long and Winding Road” were issued later, in 1970. But the images on those sleeves were associated with the “Let It Be” film and LP. This sleeve is significant because the images of The Beatles on both sides are very “telling” of the “coming of the end”: 5 figures (not only the 4 Beatles) on both sides of the sleeve included Yoko Ono (despite the fact that “The Ballad of John and Yoko” was only on one side of the record, and the B-side was by George Harrison). Note Paul McCartney’s “I-wish-I-were-somewhere-else” expressions on both sides of the sleeve maybe due to Yoko’s presence in the photos.  

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG+ to NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. Only some light folds/light wrinkles at the top of the sleeve keep me from grading it Near Mint. There is some very light disc impression (not ring wear). This sleeve is QUITE FLAT, and there is NO ring wear, NO tears, NO writing, and NO seam splits on this sleeve.

·       This primarily light-colored (off-white) sleeve has become VERY difficult to find in clean condition without any soiling, stains, or ring wear. This one is VERY NICE and CLEAN. (Just check out the images!)

·       This is a Straight-cut (EAST COAST).

·       The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG to VG+ CONDITION. There are three very tiny bumps in the vinyl (2 on one side and 1 on the other) that are pressing defects when the record was manufactured. I played both sides on my Technics turntable tracking at ½ gram and the RECORD PLAYS FINE! (The bumps do NOT cause any skipping, and there is NO sound distortion at all.    

·       This picture sleeve comes with FIRST PRESSING VINYL indicated by the Capitol Logo in the perimeter printing on the sliced-Apple label.

This is DEFINITELY a VERY NICE BEATLES’ PICTURE SLEEVE TO ADD TO YOUR BEATLES’ VINYL COLLECTION!!
