Up for auction is a 1964 Vee Jay Records release “The Beatles Vs The Four Seasons” . This VJ rarity pairs the records “Introducing The Beatles” with “ Golden Hits Of The Four Seasons” in a new cover to squeeze as much money as possible from their distribution rights to the Beatles early material.

The records in this set grade VG to VG+ with very clean labels and some minor surface marks on the records. Both Lp’s were play tested and there are some tick noises during Side 1 of the Beatles Lp but no skips. Side 2 plays better and no issues with the Four Seasons Lp.

The cover is in decent condition and suffers the common ailments with most VJ covers. The seams are intact but the top and bottom seam have some paper loss. The spine has a piece of paper missing and it looks like it could be repaired. The corners show some wear and there is a 1.5” split in the internal gatefold seam (see pictures).

The good news is the back and front cover display very well with no marks, writing, stickers etc. most

Importantly the back cover checklist is unmarked. A light record impression is noticeable on the back cover but nothing too bad.

Comes with 1 VJ advertisement inner sleeve.

Overall a pretty good example of this rare Lp.
