Description

The Beatles "The Early Beatles" very first pressing mono LP, Capitol T-2309, released in the Spring of 1965, fully playgraded, this is a strong VG+ copy, complete with matching Capitol inner sleeve (EXC shape with no seam splits); the #3 Scranton cover is straight and square with no seam splits, and would definitely grade higher if not for the age-wear and edge-foxing on the back cover, you can tell this cover is 60 years old (but it has survived quite well - hard to find this cover without major problems); the vinyl is a solid VG+ on both sides, and the labels are beautiful; an interesting background on this album: it did not sell or chart well because all of the songs had already been released the year before by Vee-Jay's Introducing The Beatles (in fact, it took 30 years to sell a million copies - most of the other 60's titles sold in excess of 5 million quite quickly), in late 1964 Capitol had won their lawsuit against Vee-Jay and this was simply their release of those newly acquired songs. Another interesting tidbit: the "International Association of Machinists" logo stamp in the deadwax is an 'anvil' instead of the triangle (indicating a very early pressing). U.S. buyer to pay $5.00 media shipping (priority available upon request).  International buyer I use Ebay International Shipping.  Insurance at the discretion of the buyer.
