Description

An essential album to own if you're a Beatles fan....a compilation of 20 songs written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney for other artists between 1963 and 1973. This Lp is desirable for 4 reasons: Firstly, for practical reasons, most of these gems are now on one convenient record,  Secondly, these are superb songs which for the most part are at the same level as ANY of the songs The Beatles themselves recorded,  Thirdly, this is THE BEST sounding version of this record available. Compared with the UK pressings, this Japanese pressing sounds more full with greater detail and clarity heard in the vocals....and finally, the copy I am offering is a Japanese (EMS-81217) white label PROMO issue  which means it was pressed before the initial run and therefore the audio is more faithful to the original master tape. You'll notice a rectangular box with 2 Japanese symbols at the top of the record label (to the right of the EMI box, see photo) these letters/symbols denote a "promo" release....a very rare find.

Condition of Lp Jacket, 4-page Japanese/English Lyric Insert, and White Label Promo Record: Near Mint......a Beautiful Package!
