Description
The Traveling Wilburys Volume 1 - First Press
Matrix numbers are R/S Alsdorf 925796-1-A on side 1 and R/S Alsdorf 925643-1-B on side 2
At the time of release all UK Warner/WEA records were being pressed in Germany to UK specifications UK: WX 224 appears next to the barcode on the back of the cover, bottom left (see pic 8), and also on the spine (both top and side) and at the top right of the inner sleeve
Visually the record looks in more than excellent condition, to the naked eye hardly any marks to be seen at all. Clean labels and minimal spindle wear. The last time I played it, which was some time ago, I noted that it played through perfectly– no background noise at all. I don't want to doubt my younger self but, for selling purposes, I'll add that there may be the odd spot of very feint crackle.
The cover is in beautiful condition, no sign of ringwear or shelfwear and both top and side spines fully readable.
The inner sleeve is also in excellent condition - would rate higher if it wasn’t for a very small (1?) split at the bottom.
Overall a beautiful copy of this first press which you most definately won't be disappoined with
UK only please - will be sent in record mailer with stiffeners
