THE BEATLES - 'TWIST & SHOUT'
UK 1963 1st PRESSING 4-TRACK EP
This superb copy of their 1st EP is a UK 1st press from 1963 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP. 8882 (note the 'dot' between the prefix and numbers)
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the center of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 762-2N & 7TCE 763-1N
Stamper codes: 2,6/RRA & 6/RTA
Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & vibrant pair with just a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
A fine pair of clean & deep-gloss playing surfaces which display no significant surface marks or wear in strong daylight and only some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines upon inspection beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp.
Play: EXCELLENT +
It is clear that this copy has not been played very often at all. Each track plays with a clarity and power missing from the album cut and are completely unworn in every respect. Both run-ins and bands play without a single clicks, tick or pop and even the delicate 'Taste Of Honey' and exposed introduction to 'Do You Want To Know A Secret' play without any distraction or interference. This one does not disappoint.

EXCELLENT
A 1st class example which is clean & unworn throughout with the only sign of wear being a single tiny 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the front opening edge and an unavoidable light impressing of the label ring from storage. Easy to find, but not in this condition.
