Description
All of the picture sleeves that are for sale this week have 45’s from the A-List of my collection. Most of these are either VG++ or Near Mint. The sleeves are at least in VG+ condition. Please have a look at them all!
Beatles VG++ My Bonnie Scarcer LP Reference & LARGER MGM Logo
Attention, Labels Collectors---B-side label has the title on one line, whereas the common first pressing printed the parenthetical subtitle below the main title. Both sides reference the “My Bonnie” LP’s catalogue number, which is missing on the common first pressing. The MGM logo is noticeably larger on the second pressings than on the first. For comparison, I’ve also listed a VG copy of the first pressing with picture sleeve, so that you can see the differences discussed.
Vinyl---Beautiful VG++ on both sides. Extremely few and extremely light hairlines on each side, mainly restricted to the lead-in lip and the trail-off areas. These second pressings are far more rare than first pressings, because at the time of their issue, the single wasn’t selling as well. (In The Beatles’ First American Visit DVD, George laughs down the phone that it was selling at all!)
Picture Sleeve---Solid VG, not trashed. After all, VG stands for “Very Good,” not “Ringworn, Crushed-Up & Split Wide Open.” That grade is referred to as “RC-U&SWO.” Has some moderate creases on both sides. Light to moderate finger divots and outdent are also present. All seams are strong and intact.
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their picture sleeves in plain white generic sleeves, in order not to damage the picture sleeves during shipment.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
