READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles VI 1965 STEREO LP, Rarer Early Second Label First Pressing Scranton, NM!

Most collectors can tell you that starting with the 1968 “Subsidiary of…” run, Capitol had corrected the music publishing credits on “Words of Love” from ASCAP to BMI from that run forward.  But what most collectors are not aware of is that this change began VERY late in the first pressing run, making this variation the first pressing, second label variation.  Check your own first pressing Scranton copies.  The majority will credit “Words of Love” to ASCAP.

MONO Scranton copies are also scarce, but they’re easier to find than STEREO Scrantons.  This is the STEREO copy, and it’s in archival collector’s condition.

Vinyl--- NM/EX.  Side 1 looks store stock, new condition.  Side 2 has one extremely light, extremely short soft mark in the first track.  99.99% original shine!

Plates--- B2/A3.  Definitely first pressing plates.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG.  Structurally solid cover.  But both front and back covers have moderately yellowed.  Back cover has mild wear.  All seams are very solid, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Store stock new labels, NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM.  Original Capitol burnt orange inner sleeve is present.  Sleeve looks 1965-brand new.  Full bold color, razor-sharp edges and corners.  BARELY perceptible record outdent if you look for it.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Not even almost.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: None.

If your Beatles collector is always a chore to shop for, this copy will make a great Christmas gift for them this year!  Rare and in impressive condition to even the strictest graders.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
