Beatles VI 1975 All Rights Reserved LA Pressing NICE COPY!
Cover---Very strong cover. (Photos are exaggerated and sharpened to show damage, but they do not look this bad in person.) Top seam and spine are perfectly intact and strong. A little missing gloss on the slick is about all. The bottom seam has a 2 ½ inch split to the bottom right. After that, the seam is strong. Front and back graphics are sharp and vividly colorful. A little foxing at the tops of both sides. Rarer cover has no Gold Record Award emblem on the front, despite it being a mid-70’s issue. RIAA number is 16, placing its manufacture in the mid-70’s.
Label--- Of course, most collectors are aware that this label variation was only in the shops from October of 1975 to December 31st, 1975. These were only available for purchase for three months 44 years ago. Each label has the disclaimer in five lines on this copy. Being an East-coast resident, this variation is the toughest one for me to complete the catalogue. Other Los Angeles variations are easy to find, but this one… Each label has the lightest spindle mark, and only one each.
Vinyl---Very nice, but not near mint. Side 1 is near mint. Side 2 has many light lines that are only in the trail-off area, and only visible under the bare bulb. There are a few additional very light lines that are in the playing surface. But overall, this side looks supernice as well. Plates are H19/H19.
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
