Description

Very rare - quantities are still unknown - 1966 Parlophone 1st export press of the US Capitol issued 'Beatles VI' with "Sold In The UK..." erroneously printed on the labels despite being intended for US release and NOT in the UK! This is the earliest version of the export press with low mother and stampers 1O & 1H, crossed matrix (as per the corrected label version also). Comes with the original UK printed Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flip-back export sleeve with 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' incorrectly spelt as 'Dizzy Miss Lizzie' on both the front and the back.

The export press of “Beatles VI” has the same track list as the American version but for the song “Bad Boy” officially published in England on the album “A Collection Of Beatles Oldies”, in December, 1966.

Serial number: CPCS 104

Matrix number: YEEX 112-A15 / ST-2-2451 YEEX 113-A15

Stamper codes:  1O / 1H

Condition:

Stunning condition. This is an EXCELLENT PLUS player and looker. The disc surface has a real mirror-like deep gloss without marks in natural daylight and under a strong direct halogen spotlight only a few short light hairlines are visible. There is no warping to the disc and it sits completely flat on the turntable. The labels are clean of writing and have a bright and sharp print colour. The playback is fantastic. The lead-ins, lead-outs and between tracks are nice and quiet. Full, punchy 1st press playback that amazingly plays without pops, clicks, hiss or distortion throughout the entire LP, EXCELLENT PLUS! The cover is also in fantastic condition, bar one crack at the top edge. It has a glossy clean front without ring wear or stains. The spine is sharp, clean and fully-readable and without wear all the way along to the corners. The back is bright white and clean, no stains, foxing, marks, or pen. Sharp at the opening edge, EXCELLENT! Complete with its original EMI advertising paper inner sleeve which is clean and without splits. This comprises both a fantastic listening & also collectors condition 1st Export press 1st label mispress of 'Beatles VI' on the Parlophone label.
