READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles VI LP 1968 Hybrid “Subsidiary of” Labels w/UNDOCUMENTED Variation, Shrink, EX!

Ever see the Los Angeles first pressing label variation that has one title above the playhole on both sides?  That one is startlingly and frustratingly rare to begin with.  And now, have you ever seen that variation STRAIGHT TRANSFERRED onto the 1968 “Subsidiary of…” run?

This copy has such a label on Side 1.  The Side 2 label is the commonly-known variation with smaller font, used by both Los Angeles and Scranton.

I’m going to regret selling this one, aren’t I?

Vinyl--- EX/NM.  Side 1 has just one very short, very light scuff on the first band, which cannot be felt with the fingertip.  See photo.  Otherwise, Side 1 looks unplayed.  Side 2 has some hairlines only in the dead wax.  Otherwise, Side 2 looks unplayed.

Plates--- A13/B12.  Nice refreshed plates by LA.  This copy should sound great!  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- VG+.  Shrinkwrap did a great job protecting the cover for the most part.  However, there are some dots of foxing around the perimeter.  Shrink is torn at the top right.

This cover has a nice little error, where the slick is misseated.  It’s most noticeable in the top left corner.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is below the title, “Kansas City,” and the other is due south, to the right of Paul’s tie.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels look stunning gorgeous, 1968 brand new.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Some light foxing, some light yellowing.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 4

**Stunning beautiful copy.  It’s the only one I’ve EVER seen in 50 years, and it’s the copy featured in my two-volume set on flash drive, of rare American Beatles pressings available this Christmas season.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
