Description
I’ve put up for auction several BEATLES-RELATED PROMO RECORDS from my own vinyl collection. So, please check my other auctions for records that you may want.
According to Perry Cox, Beatles Price Guide Author, who recently auctioned off one of these PROMO PICTURE SLEEVES (Item # 281120472422), “THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST RELATED 45’S OF THE BEATLES AND IT’S A PROMO”.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “NEEDLES AND PINS” b/w “AIN’T THAT JUST LIKE ME” by The Searchers
· This is KAPP RECORDS K-577.
· This record was released in 1964.
· The 7-inch vinyl record included is a regular stock copy. The record included is NOT a promo record. Only the Sleeve is a Promotional Sleeve.
· The vinyl is in NEAR MINT CONDITION.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE included is a PROMO PICTURE SLEEVE.
· THE SLEEVE READS "THIS IS THE GROUP AND RECORD THAT KNOCKED THE BEATLES OUT OF FIRST PLACE IN ENGLAND".
· And: “THE NEW #1 GROUP DIRECT FROM ENGLAND THE LIVERPOOL SOUND”
· And at the bottom of the sleeve: “THE SEARCHERS ARE NO. 1 NOW!”
· According to Perry Cox: “THIS IS THE VERY RARE PROMOTIONAL ISSUE AND HARD TO FIND.”
· As you may know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS/SLEEVES such as the one in this auction were issued in very limited quantities and only made available for promotional purposes to, for example, DJs at the Radio Stations for on-air play or for juke box play. They were not made available to the general public, so they are VERY sought after due to their rarity and limited quantities.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION. (It would be graded higher were it not for a tear with some paper loss at the opening on one side). The white sleeve shows some aging. There is disk impression, but NOT ring wear. There is some light wear on the opening and 2-3 small tears (no paper loss). But one side of the sleeve has a small tear and is missing a small piece of paper at the opening. (Please refer to the images.)
· NOT A NEAR MINT PROMOTIONAL SLEEVE BUT STILL A NICE and HARD-TO-FIND BEATLES-RELATED PROMO SLEEVE TO ADD TO YOUR VINYL COLLECTION!!

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
