Description

Listed here is the very first LP I ever bought, in 1968 - one owner from new.
I am neither a record dealer nor an expert on records.  I've tried to list this extra special, genuine album as accurately as possible.  Please look closely at all the photos to see the condition for yourself.

This is a complete set of the self titled album by The Beatles (known as The White Album), with original low numbered album sleeve, original inner sleeves, original vinyls, four glossy photos and the large lyric poster.

VINYLS:

Visually VG+

The vinyls still have a sheen to the clean surfaces and both sit flat with no warping.

There are a quite a few non feelable surface lines and one small (short) feelable one on side 2.

These LPs have not been played for over 10 years and from memory there are no skips or jumps.

Not in mint condition but overall excellent.

I NO LONGER HAVE THE MEANS TO PLAY TEST these LPs so have to rely on visual interpretation and memory.

GATEFOLD COVER: VG+/EX

Any numbered cover of The White Album is a unique, collectible work of art by itself, designed by the acclaimed UK artist, Richard Hamilton - the acclaimed 'Godfather of Pop Art'.

The outer high gloss laminated front and back covers lie flat with some age yellowing and creasing on the top right corner. No creasing on the back cover. Some top edge wear as expected for its' age.  The spine has suffered areas of laminate damage and loss, which prevents a higher grade for the outer cover overall than VG+

The inside cover spread is EX .

LABELS: Excellent.

Excellent labels and  spindle centres, but most importantly, have the misprint error and do not state EMI on sides 1 and 2.

INNER SLEEVES: GOOD +

Rarely found fragile black originals (shiny outside, rough texture inside).

No splits or tears on the main seams. They both have closed tears around the die cut centres with the odd nibble to the top openings.

POSTER:  VERY GOOD:  No tears, writing or glue marks. Holes from general use where both internal creases meet.  The poster was also designed by Richard Hamilton and is a printed collage of photographs of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

PHOTOS: EX +

A superb set of four high gloss prints. No creases, pin holes, tears, glue, blu-tack or sellotape marks.
