IN BEAUTIFUL COMPLETE CONDITION, MINT RECORD, MINT LABELS, EXCELLENT PLUS TO NEAR MINT SLEEVE, SCARCE **FIRST ISSUE FACTORY SAMPLE** WINGS ALBUM, COMPLETE WITH 2 STICKERS, 2 POSTERS, and Original printed card record sleeve.
‘Venus and Mars’ was released by MPL/Capitol Records, in the UK in 1975, the album contains 13 tracks. This is the first solo "Beatle" L.P. NOT to feature the Apple label, and the first to feature Paul's "MPL" logo.
This ** FIRST ISSUE** UK Factory Sample Vinyl LP, on the Custom Black with Silver print Capitol Label, with 'Made in Gt Britain', and MPL printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both Record labels are in SUPER PRESERVED Mint condition, CLEAN NEW LOOKING labels, showing one or two very faint spider trails to either side.
The side 1 matrix YEX 945-1U, and Side 2 matrix YEX 946-1U.
Side 1 stampers: 4 LD and Side 2 stampers:2 LT.
The dead wax area on the A-side has "A Porky Prime Cut", and on the B-side has "M Room".
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in SUPERB Mint condition. The Vinyl surfaces are GLISTENING –and look NEW.
Both sides of the LP play EXTREMELY WELL with NO skips or clicks, great tracks to hear again.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL Printed Card Venus and Mars Inner Sleeve , which is a SUPER IMPRESSIVE Near Mint example, with just light rubbing to the bottom edge, but NO splits.
…And is protected in its ORIGINAL award winning sleeve, being voted the "Album Cover of the Year" by the music industry trade magazine, "Music Week". It is a gatefold sleeve designed by Hipgnosis and George Hardie. The front cover picture of two snooker balls was taken by Linda, and the centre spread picture was taken by Aubrey Powell in the desert in North Carolina. The rear of the cover features the lyrics. Also free within are two posters and two "Venus and Mars" planet sticker.
Both Posters and the two stickers are in Mint condition.
The Gatefold sleeve is in, SUPERB Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition. All edges, corners and Spine edge are FLAT and SQUARE, there is NO record indentation, the Wide Spine is FIRM and UNDAMAGED and the wording Venus and Mars ‘Wings and PCTC 254’ clearly printed, there is a FACTORY SAMPLE sticker on the reverse of the sleeve. – a very nice preserved example.
An fantastic condition example of this **FIRST ISSUE** WINGS Factory Sample album, complete with all inserts, as original as it was when released back in 1975.
