ORIGINAL MONO FIRST PRESSINGS for The Beatles 1963 UK Parlophone album ‘With The Beatles;’with FIRST ‘1N’ matrixes, ‘JOBETE’ publishing credit for the song ‘MONEY’, and ‘YOU REALLY GOTTA HOLD ON ME’ track listing are SELDOM SEEN, and we are, therefore, pleased to be offer this RARITY to collectors.
Album Description:
The HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text to both sides. Track 3, Side 2 lists as ‘You Really GOTTA Hold on Me’, on the record label and the reverse of the sleeve, instead of ‘You Really Got A Hold on Me’. Additionally, the song ‘Money’ track 7, side 2 lists the ‘JOBETE’ publishing credit.
Side 1 matrix XEX 447-1N and Side 2: XEX 448-1N.
Side 1 stampers: 5/GP and Side 2: 5/RD.
There is a barely visible tax code stamped to the centre of the side 1 record label.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Polylined ‘Use Emitex….’ Printed Inner Bag
……And is housed in an ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back sleeve printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL through ALL the tracks. There are NO skips or clicks, and just light background crackle - A pure EARLY, CLEAR, POWERFUL Mono sound.
Album Condition:
Both sides of the record labels are in STRONG excellent condition. This is a CLEAN, BRIGHT Set of record labels, with no more than some centre spider trails. The Silver printed text is UNFADED and the Yellow Parlophone Print and logo CLEAR and VIVID.
Both sides of the Heavyweight vinyl disc are in excellent condition. EXTREMELY BRIGHT vinyl surfaces, showing some light surface scratches, which do not affect the sound quality. There are NO scuffs to either side.
The Original ‘Patents Pending’ Garrod and Lofthouse Laminated sleeve is in overall excellent minus condition. The sleeve is FIRM and RESPECTABLE, and the laminate very GLOSSY, with mild record indentation to the front panel, a few manufacturing laminate ‘pinches’, and mild bruising to all four corners. The back panel of the sleeve is BRIGHT, STRONG and CLEAN, shows mild age toning. All three flip backs are UNDAMAGED. There is a tiny white sticker adhered to top right hand corner on the reverse, just above the catalogue number. The spine edge is FIRM and clearly reads ‘With The Beatles’.
The Original ‘Use Emitex’ Polylined inner bag is a FINE excellent example, NO seam splits just a couple of tiny tears to the bottom edge – nothing serious.
FIRST PRESSINGS of this EARLY Beatles UK MONO Album to include the ‘JOBETE’ Publishing Credit and ‘GOTTA’ references are HARD TO FIND, as they were only relevant to the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. All round a RESPECTABLE and COMPLETE example.
