Beatles White Album 1968 Vinyl Mono LP PMC 7067-8, no. 0564773
This is a very well looked after album from the second pressing in November 1968. All the posters are in great condition, it includes the random piece of white A4 paper spacer and there are a few light scratches but these are very hard to see. The outer album cover only shows sign of age but no damage. I’m not a Beatles or album expert, so if you need any questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I will do my best to answer them - as well as take advice from those who know their Beatles/album stuff!
About The Beatles (The White Album), Apple PMS7067/7068, mono, November 22, 1968. 2LPs set. I have been advised that copies 1 to 300,000 were mono then 300,000 to 600,000 were in stereo but then about 30,000 more mono's were produced - I presume this is one of those as there is a small 'stereo' on the top right hand corner of the back sleeve and the original 300,000 mono albums would not have had this. Full laminated white gate fold cover have flaps on the left and right sides of the open gate fold with openings at the top. The front of the cover has “The BEATLES” embossed in raised block letters. The stamped seven-digit number appears in gray on a slight downward angle towards the lower right corner. The back of the cover is completely blank apart from 'stereo' on the top right hand corner. The right panel of the open gate fold has the four John Kelly black and white portraits running left to right (John, Paul, George and Ringo). The left panel has the titles to the album’s songs in gray on 12 row. The records are housed in black inner sleeves with a die-cut circular opening on one side to expose the Apple label.
Second pressing, November, 1968. Dark green label with added “An E.M.I. Recording” text to the left of the labels,above the “33 1/3? text and “Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists” text. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p) 1968. Side 1: PMC 7067 XEX 709 in the run off area clockwise are WL, XEX 709-1, 3 33 3 2 (middle set 33 3 printed sideways); Side 2: PMC 7067 XEX 710, run off is MAG, XEX 710-2, 1; Side 3: PMC 7068 XEX 711, run off is H, XEX 711-1, 1; Side 4: PMC 7068 XEX 712 & run off is TP, XEX 712-1, 2.
