PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
This item is a record album released in 1968 on Apple Records by The Beatles known as the ‘White Album’. This particular copy of this album is a first pressing with song title errors that were soon corrected on further pressings. Album cover also has a rare 4 3/4 inch by 4 inch white with blue print song titles sticker adhered to the front of the cover (see photos). Song titles errors are ‘The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill‘ listed as just ‘Bungalow Bill’. ‘Revolution 1‘ is listed as ‘Revolution No. 1’. ‘Revolution 9‘ is listed as ‘Revolution No. 9’. ‘Good Night‘ is listed as ‘Goodnight’. Song titles sticker is in very good condition with flaws being some wear and a small stain / tear in the bottom right corner (see photos). Numbered cover itself is in VG condition with flaws being ringwear, worn corners and a name written in black marker on the back of the cover (see photos). All seams are intact with no splits. Record 1 grades at VG+ to VG++ and has nice gloss and shine. HOWEVER Record 2 grades at G with light scuffs and three small spots of some residue on Side 3. Record still sounded okay in the parts that I played. The song ‘Birthday‘ had a couple of skips and there is background noise in the quieter spots on Record 2. If it weren't for the record labels having the title errors I would replace it with a second press Record 2 but the song titles would be corrected and wouldn’t be a true first press ‘White Album’. Record comes with it’s original 22 1/2 inch by 33 1/2 inch poster. Poster has two tears in the middle where the poster is folded (see photos). Four color Beatles photos are included. Hard enough to find this first pressing with the song titles errors let alone with the rare song titles sticker! A great addition to your Beatles collection. Money back if not satisfied.
