Black inners - no poster - no photos

Next up for grabs we have an excellent condition, though sans posters/photos , original 1968 UK stereo pressing of The Beatles. This has the fully laminated Garrod and Lofthouse top opening cover and the original black inner sleeves. These inners have no tape repairs but do have the obligatory 2" split a the bottom and a few very small tears on the inner cut out. The cover itself is very nice, it is not mint , it is slighly yellowed but what it does have going for it is very good lamination. The cover has a few creases but nothing major like a folded corner or anything. No laminate cracks apart from a slight tear/mark just above the words "The Beatles" (triangular shaped ,area about 1/2 cm square - small and not really noticable). There is no laminate lift or dirt in, under or on the embossed "the Beatles". The number is also very clearly printed and undamaged. There is also a 1" mark/scratch on the front on middle left, nothing dramatic but it is there so I'm mentioning it. The rear also has a few knocks and bumps but is uncreased and the laminate has not lifted at all. There is very little ring wear none to speak of at all really. There is a 1"split at the bottom front but its a 'neat' split and not obtrusive.The spine is a bit squished, it was probably a 9mm wide spine at some stage, oh well (sigh) but you can still read the words "The BEATLES" and the "Stereo... /Mono ... " words on the spine and the laminate has just started to crack and lift but it is still firm. The fold is aslo starting to part from the top by about 3" someone has just shoved the record in in the dim past and split the gluing but its not gone any further and is, all in all, OK . All 4 corners have bumps but are predominately square and straight. The openings are just starting to feather and are starting to show a little wear.  It does of course have the word "Stereo" printed on the rear of the cover.

The photo of the number and the front cover was taken with the macro setting of my camera and is presenting as rather yellow! - the cover is not that yellow it is very white , just like the shot of the inside.

This is by no means a junk cover, it is very presentable. It has its fair share of wear but is still VG.

The inside, however, is like new - glossy, clean ,uncreased, a uniform sheen over it all! Ex. for the inside!

The discs have the following matrices/ Mothers / Stampers

The discs are in EX- condition - no feelable scratches at all any of them. There are a few minor paper scuffs on side 1 but nothing that detracts from the sound. Side 2 has NO scratches just 1 very, very slight scuff. It looks untouched. Guess whoever used to own it didnt like "Martha My Dear"!

Sides 3 and 4 also have a few marks, very slight scratches, nothing that you can feel just see. They do no cause any jumps or sticking.

The labels on disc 1 have "An EMI recording" but do not on disc 2 and both LP's have "Sold in the UK..." on all 4 sides and there is a KT tax stamp on side 3.

There are the obligatory spindle marks but these are slight and the labels are clean, with no writing, marks ,biro, scratches, tears etc.

The discs still have a nice glossy sheen to them and are dead flat, no warps and are the heavy 60's pressings - 130-145gms.

The black inner sleeves are in very good condition and apart from very minor flaws mentioned above they do have the usual crease across the corner from being inexpertly replaced over the years, most inners have this. The die cut holes have only very minor tears, likewise on the openings but on the whole are in great shape compared to others I've seen and they are most certainly originals not repro's.

This is a very good UK Stereo White album set, a perfect starter edition in very good shape - with the addition of a poster/photo set (available on ebay most times) this would be a keeper until a major upgrade , with its associated major expense, is required.

All in all a very presentable set with obvious blemishes but would do quite nicely until the 100 pounds has been saved up to get a close to mint one (if you can find it)!

This lovely album will be posted in a LP record mailer , with extra cardboard stiffeners, airmail delivered by Aust Post to anywhere in the world - it can be registered if you want but as there are no returns and if it gets lost or damaged, and is not registered, then there will be no compensation available - better to go registered I think. This will be extra to the postage quoted above.

Weight is around the 450 gram mark to estimate postage.

The postage will be calculated according to its destination- obviously for international postage it will cost what it costs to get to where its going - I do NOT charge for packing/handling , you'll just pay for the postage and with the exchange rate being what it is it wont be much (for you)!

Domestic post can be by whatever method you want - Express, registered, courier , whatever.

The postage above is thus an indication NOT the final figure , it will depend on delivery method but it will be just the postage cost,NO p&h charge for me!
