Description
The Beatles - White Album
(Apple PMC 7067/8 UK Double LP 1968)
This is a UK original Mono Double LP pressing. It has a top-opening fully laminated gatefold sleeve. This has inner flipbacks. It has an embossed "The Beatles" on the front & is numbered No: 0269969. The sleeve has both Mono/ Stereo catalogue numbers on the spine.
It comes with its original plain black company inner sleeves. It also comes with the giant fold-out lyric/ picture poster. It also comes with all 4 portrait photos.
The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have dark green Apple labels. All four labels have the "Sold in UK..." texts on them. The matrix numbers (followed by mother stampers) are as follows:
Side 1: XEX 709-1 (PO 3 2)
Side 2: XEX 710-1 (AL 5)
Side 3: XEX 711-1 (RM 2)
Side 4: XEX 712-1 (A 1)
A genuine UK 1st Mono pressing.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some mild rippling to a 3rd of the sleeve - the right hand side. There is some mild rubbing wear at the top opening. There is some light ringwear & other mild rubbing wear. VG condition.
Vinyl 1: There are mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, & approx 7-8 hairline marks. There is a small mark on "Don't Pass Me By". It causes some clicks for approx 30 seconds but does not jump on my system. Good+ condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. Apart from the aforementioned clicks it plays VG+ to VG++ overall, & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, or very light, crackle in a few quieter places. The plain black inner has some tape residue on one side. It is in VG+ condition. There are no seam splits.
Vinyl 2: There are light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, & some mild pressing marks. There are approx 4-5 hairline marks. VG- condition. There is some light sticker wear on one label. Otherwise mild to more moderate spindle wear. Plays VG+ to VG++ overall, & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light crackle in a few quieter places. The plain black inner has some tape residue on two sides. It is in VG+ condition. There are no seam splits.
The poster has some rippling through it, There is a tick next to the track lyrics & a name has been written neatly. It is in VG condition. The portrait photos are unused but one has a crease. They are in VG+ to EX condition.
I shall place the records in a separate plain paper inner sleeve. This will protect the original black inners during shipping.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
