Description
Up for bid is a very rare limited mono 2 LP set, "The White Album," by The Beatles.This was released by Apple Records (PMC 7067/8) in the UK in 1968. Jacket is numbered 0169670 (see pictures). Both LPs are VG+, each with some scuffs and a couple of small light scratches. Interior labels are very clean. Stamped matrix info for each side is as follows: side 1 - XEX 709-1 1 AH / side 2 - XEX 710-1 7 MP / side 3 - XEX 711-1 1 GGL / side 4 - XEX 712-1 2 GG. LPs are very clean. Both LPs play with some light surface noise (crackle, tics, and a couple of pops) - sounds very good! Here is a couple of excerpts from each side of this set:
Top loader gatefold jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is light creasing and wear along the lip of the jacket (along the top). There is a small crease in the center of the bottom seam on the back of the jacket. The are several small splits in the laminate of the spine (not in the spine itself). Includes original interior poster, 4 color prints, a paper spacer, and 2 interior black paper sleeves. Poster has some discoloration and creasing. Poster also has several tears - there are two very small tears in the center of each fold along the seam, and the seam underneath the blue picture of John in the top left corner of the poster has a split about 8 inches long. This is a must have item for any Beatles collector! Don't miss this very rare set!
