Beatles, White Album, Orig UK Apple Mono G/fld LP+Inners, VG+/VG+, 1st Press!

Description

Original UK Apple label mono 1968 press double LP, first pressing, top opening sleeve & No.0123392 on the front cover and the 'Sold in the UK..' label texts, 'KT' tax code stamp on the dark green Apple labels!   The fully laminated wide spine Garrod & Lofthouse top opening gatefold sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some laminate rubbing & corner wear, with a couple of small laminate creases the cover. The spine is worn and only partly readable and the laminate has cracked and lifted.    The plain black inners are intact & in fair condition, with some creasing and tears, but there is no foldout poster or the four photos.   The records are in visually VG+ condition, sides 1 & 2 have a few faint hairlines & a couple of light needle marks and sides 3 & 4 have a few more sleeve removal hairlines & a few light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few spindle markings on sides 1 & 2 and a couple of spindle markings on sides 3 & 4.   The sound reproduction is EX, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves & in a couple of the quieter passages, but overall it is still a really great, loud & punchy listen and plays much better than it looks!   The matrix nos. are; XEX-709-1 mother stamper 3-GAG, XEX-710-1 mother stamper 2-GG, XEX-711-3 mother stamper 1-GRD, XEX-712-1 mother stamper 2-PH. This is one of the very early pressings of the original 1968 UK mono 1st issue of this album!!
