Description
An original STEREO mispressing of THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM featuring the ultra-rare spelling mistake on the Side 2 label, ‘Rocky Racoon’. Comes in its original top opening sleeve with the ‘Stereo’ logo stamped on the rear. The gatefold sleeve is top opening and numbered, No.0333989. Comes with the 4 photos and the poster and with the records in white inner sleeves. Catalogue number is PCS 7067/7068.
Side 1: Matrix YEX 709-1. Mothers & stampers: GDP 4. ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Sold in UK’ text on the label.
Side 2: Matrix YEX 710-1. Mothers & stampers: GGT 2. ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Sold in UK’ text on the label.
Side 3: Matrix YEX 711-1. Mothers & stampers: GOL 3. ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Sold in UK’ text on the label.
Side 4: Matrix YEX 712-1. Mothers & stampers: GAO 4. ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Sold in UK’ text on the label.
The records are very strictly graded in VG-/VG condition overall, they play through without any jumps or sticks and have no warps, but with some clicks, surface noise etc. The photos are in really nice condition with just some minor evidence of wear. The poster is in poor shape and has split into 3 separate sections, and the individual section themselves have splits so it is not in good condition but could easily be repaired and made whole. The cover is in pretty nice VG condition with some wear on the top of the spine where a small piece of the laminate has come off but otherwise in nice shape. A very sound copy of a Beatles rarity – see photos.
