This Excellent 1968 1st UK STEREO pressing is on the dark green Apple label: PCS 7067 & PCS 7068

All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' texts & 'An EMI Recording' statement.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.

Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover numbered: No.0330049

Complete with its original 4 colour portrait photos, UK printed poster & both black die-cut inner-sleeves.

Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, YEX 710-1 & YEX 711-2, YEX 712-1

Stamper codes: 4/OH, 3/GAT & 1/GPD, 1/OG

Labels: Disc 1. EXCELLENT  Disc 2. EXCELLENT +

Disc 1's labels display a small collection spindle marks and slight wear to the side 1 centre hole, but disc 2 has less spindle marks and no wear to either hole.

Visual: Both discs are: EXCELLENT +

All playing surfaces are extremely clean & glossy and apart from some harmless inner-sleeve removal marks on side 2, all are free from any surface marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving, powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal on disc 1 and some faint inner-sleeve storage marks on disc 2.

Play: Both disc are: EXCELLENT +

Both discs has received just some careful, infrequent play on good equipment and my careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion or any other significant audible faults throughout. The only trace of wear on disc 1 is a touch of light background on the introductions to 'Dear Prudence' and a hint of light background on 'Julia'. however, this disc is free from any clicks, pops or any other such distractions. Disc 2 has clearly been played less and again is without groove/play wear or indeed any other significant deterioration to the sound quality or any ticks, clicks or any other such audible distraction or fault.

EXCELLENT

A very solid & unworn example which apart from being a little off-white, displays no significant or major faults throughout. The front panel is clean & glossy with just some light storage scratching to the laminate, but no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other creasing. The number is clean & readable and there are no bends or wrinkles along the spine. All corners are free from any bumps or bruising and apart from a little discolouration, all of the top-opening edges are undamaged and unwon. The rear panel is as clean as the front with also no creasing or wrinkles in the laminate. The inside of the gatefold is unmarked & unblemished and all seams are smooth & unstressed. The spine is clean an all the wording & the laminate covers all of the wording.

GOOD & EXCELLENT

Both a very clean & flat but one has some tears to the centre window and two small side seam splits. The other has a light disc impression but is otherwise unworn & undamaged.
