1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING
**No. 0000603**
This true low-numbered copy No. 0000603 is on the dark green Apple label: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068
All labels omit the 'An EMI Recording' statement but include the 'Sold in UK..' text.
A rare 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 4 label.
Housed in a fully laminated, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover, numbered: No. 0000603
Complete with original die-cut matt-black inners, UK printed poster, four 'thick' card colour photos & white paper photo spacer.
Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 4/GM, 9/MR, 3/GGD, 4/HT
CONDITION Disc 1 Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces are extremely clean, bright & glossy with no signs of groove-whitening from overplay or dull/cloudy areas from improper storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just an occaisional light stylus hairline & inner-sleeve removal hairline.
Apart from a 2cm light scuff on side 2, there are no further signficant or any major signs of wear.
Audio: EXCELLENT
This disc has recieved just some light, careful play and there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults.
Some very light, intermittant background is audible on the first 2 tracks of side 1, but there are no clicks, pops or any other wear.
Apart from a few light ticks on the introduction to 'Martha My Dear' & at the end of 'Julia', all tracks play cleanly & clearly.

Visual: EXCELLENT
As with disc 1, both sides are extremely clean & glossy with just a single 1cm hairline scratch covering the final track on side 3.
A few wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines are visible under a halogen desk lamp,but there are no further signs of wear.
Audio: EXCELLENT
As with disc 1, all tracks play with any significant wear or major faults.
Apart from an occaisional light tick audible at volume, there is little to fault throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
This fine & rare example retains and excellent whiteness with no significant areas of toning or major wear. The all-important number is clean & bold.
The glossy front panel laminate bears a few indentation lines and a single 'thumbnail' crease, but no pitting or missing laminate.
The corners bear just a hint of shelfwear but no significaynt bruising or bumps.
All the top opening edges have a few tiny indentations but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is as clean as the front with again, 1 small 'thumbnail' crease toward the tope opeining.
The inside has 3 'half-moon' creases to the loeft panel and one to the right but no other marks or wear.
The spine is clean & the wording is clear & fully covered.
There is just a single 1cm split to middle section & a light rub to the rear edge.
