This well presented 1st stereo pressing double album is on the dark green Apple Records label: PCS 7067/7068
All labels include the 'Sold in UK...' and 'An EMI Recording' texts.
Matrices: YEX 709-1/YEX 710-1 & YEX 711-/YEX 712-1
Stamper codes: 1/GGL, 3/AA & 3/PR, 1/OH
Vinyl weights: 145g & 147g
Housed in a fully laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small rear 'stereo' indicator and numbered on the front: No.0573930.
Complete with 4 colour portrait photos, poster and later white inner-sleeves bearing 'Apple Copyright' texts on one side.
CONDITION
Disc 1:Visual: VERY GOOD Audio: VERY GOOD +
Despite frequent play and a few long surface marks (none of which are deep or 'feelable'), this disc sounds clean and unworn with minimal background interference and no major faults.
Visual & Audio: VERY GOOD +
Played less than disc 1, both sides are cleaner and bear less surface marks. Again the sound throughout is very respectable and without any significant audible issues.
A very nice example of this rare wide-spine variant which retains an excellent and even 'whiteness' throughout. The front panel is clean & glossy with just three small 'thumbnail' wrinkles. The laminate is intact over the raised wording and the number is clean & bold. There is light shelfwear to the corners and no major issues to the opening edges. Both panels inside the gatefold are immaculately clean. The rear panel is as clean and the front with just a small area of laminate lifting towards the lower end of the spine. The spine itself, along with all seams is fully intact with no cracks or flaking laminate and clean, unfaded wording.
Photos: All four have pin-holes to each corner but are otherwise in EXCELLENT condition.
Poster: EXCELLENT
Factory folded and unhung with light handling wear only.
Inner-sleeves: VERY GOOD +
