Description
Hello, I have been on eBay as a buyer and seller since October 1999 with a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence!
Up for sale today is a great copy of The Beatles White Album on the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab label (MFSL 2-072) issued in 1982. I originally purchased this album in 1985 from my local record store and have carefully stored it since purchase in my smoke-free home.
The album as stated is in fantastic shape. The vinyl both looks and plays Mint. Nary a pop, tick or other issue. Vinyl shines and glows like new. Spindle holes are mark free.
The cover I grade as Excellent. All corners are sharp, no marks. Only issues are: (1) the white cover has yellowed a bit with age; and (2) the upper 1/4 inch area of the spine has separated a tiny bit from the white cover (ie slightly shredded). Nothing major but I mention both issues for an accurate and complete description.
When MFSL issued the album, it did not come with any special inserts other than a special inner sleeve for each record. This album has both of the inserts as shown. It did not come with the individual photos of each Beatle or with the poster that was included with the 1968 first issue of the album on the Apple label.
Here's the Bonus: the MFSL album I purchased DID come with four photos of each Beatle! I do not know why or how, but there they are. (see photos) The four photos are as large as the 1968 versions. They are attached together and fold up like a poster would for storage but are able to be separated from each other if desired (i.e. they are perforated for separation). I chose not to separate them, so the photos are still attached to each other as originally issued. There it is: a mystery as to why they came with this album, regardless they are kind of neat and I am including them with purchase of the album as a bonus.
All in all, a great copy of this 39 year-old MFSL release!
