My clearout continues!
I'm now clearing our a batch of classic rock, prog and 60's LPs that I bought in a collection a few years back, a pretty complete collection but I don't really need all the titles. Watch this space for more titles.......
you're bidding for:
Beatles White album UK 1st press Mono 2LP VG+/VG+ Complete with Spacer! #0045132
cat: PMC 7067
matrix: XEX 709-1 XEX 710-1 XEX 711-1 XEX 712-1
mothers/stampers: 5 H L 3 H H 2 R L 4 T O
All 4 labels are EX+ and none have the EMI text, confirming All to be first press. All are clean with no writing with only light to moderate spindle wear and a KTtax code.
The vinyl on 3 sides is in VG+ to VG++ condition, glossy and clean with only the faint paper skeeve removal marks, light scuffs and the odd hairline mark. However side 1 has a small feelable mark on the 2nd half of the track While my guitar Gently Weeps. It looks like a short nasty scuff but when playing however the mark doesn't seem to affect play, I've play graded it on my old lenco and my friends modern project and neither clicked. Due to the mark however, I've graded this side as VG and the vinyl as VG+ overall. There is light crackle in some of the quieter sections (on side 1) which may be removed with a professional clean.
The top opening sleeve is really nice and clean, slightly yellowed over time but still glossy and clean with no writing. On the bottom right corner there is one significant crease (see pics) which goes through the number 0045132 and also both sides of the gatefold. The spine is still clear and legible and the inside is lovely and flat and clean. On the back corner of the creases there's also a small spot damage where it looks like the laminate cover has come away. I've focussed on all the flaws but it's still a great sleeve and a pretty low number.
All 4 pictures are EX+ amd the spacer is VG with with light creases and a small tear half way down one side. The poster is a strong VG, with light creases, no pin holes or blue tack marks but wear to the folds, one just starting to tear. Both black inners are also VG with creases and the start of splits to the edges.
