THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
1963 UK EARLY 2nd *MONO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT**
This NEAR MINT 1963 UK early 2nd mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1206
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but include 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The side 2 label carries the corrected 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' spelling.
The publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Dominion, Belinda..'.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
The front panel bears the early, dark 'make-up' image, which was lightened on all later issues.
The rear panel carries the incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' spelling.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 447-1N & XEX 448-1N
(These -1N matrices were withdrawn after a few weeks of sale)
Stamper numbers: 11/GPA & 4/TR

Just a single faint spindle mark to either side.
Visual: MINT
Both surfaces are in pristine 'as new' as new condition when viewed in strong direct daylight directly under a halogen desk lamp.
There are absolutely no traces of wear to either side - not even any sleeve removal hairlines!
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
The copy originally belonged to a record reviewer and was played just ONCE for review and has remained unplayed since 1963.
As befits such a wonderful copy, everything sounds perfect - silent run-ins and bands a no trace of any audible wear anywhere.
The sound of the '-1N' cut is outstanding and significantly tougher & more powerful than later 'toned down' cuts.
A rare chance to hear a perfect copy the was it way meant to be.

This early example retains a superb front panel which bears some light natural age-toning but no 'thumnbnail' creases to the opening edge.
Aside from 3 light scratches to the front laminate and a single light spine and lower edge wrinkle, there is little to fault.
All corners are clean, square and unbruised and both opening edges are clean & sharp.
The rear panel is clean with no discolouration, handling/storage marks or writing.
All flipbacks, seams and the spine are unstressed & unsplit.
The spine is square, straight and totally undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Crisp, clean and white with just some extremely light storage wrinkles but no splits, tears or writing.
