THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
1963 UK 2nd MONO ISSUE LP
***DECCA PRESSING**
Pressed in very limited quantities by Decca Records (in mono only) at the request of EMI in early 1964 these pressing are cheifly identifiable by the distinctive 'groove' around the label. Although pressed on slightly thinner vinyl than their EMI counterparts, they retain top Decca sound quality.
This rare 1963 DECCA mono 2nd pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1206
The labels bear the distinctive Decca deep 'groove' around them.
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims and the 'Recording First Published..' texts
The publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Dominion. Belinda..'.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse cover bearing the 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' spelling.
Complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Slight wear to the centre hole and around the side 1 silver rim but no major wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT MINUS
Very bright and glossy surfaces which when inspected under a halogen desk lamp reveal just some sleeve removal hairlines and the occaisional light surface scuff but no deep or feelable scratches or other major faults. Thick heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Top sound quality from all tracks - bright and clear without any crackle or groovewear distortion in either channel.
Both run-ins and all bands are very quiet with just the occaisional low level 'tick' but no heavy clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A fine example with a bright front image and high-gloss laminate which bears just a two 'thumbnails' and a few edge wrinkles.
There is some slight discolouration toward the opening edge, but it is clean and sharp as are all four corners.
The rear panel is bright and clean with no marks or writing. The rear flipbacks are slightly discoloured but intact and undamaged
The upper and lower seams are strong and unsplit and the spine is square, readable and also undamaged.
(The shadows visible on the photo of the front cover are just reflections and not creases or wear).
