This album was issued as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although it did not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position. At the same time The Beatles White Album was still at No 1.
Album Description and Condition:
This album dates back to 1969 and is on the traditional Green & White Apple Label with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’ label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB near mint condition. A FINE set of UNDAMAGED record labels, beautiful clear print, and no more than a couple of faint centre spider trail to both labels.
Both sides of the GLEAMING Heavy Vinyl Disc are in near mint condition, NEW LOOKING Vinyl Surfaces, with just a couple of insignificant hardly noticeable surface hairlines.
Side 1 matrix: YEX 715-1 and Side 2 YEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 2/MR and Side 2: 2/GL.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut inner bag which is in CLEAN excellent condition, there are NO seam splits just a tiny tear to the opening edge.
The Vinyl LP is housed in an ORIGINAL, ULTRA GLOSSY, Front LAMINATED Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, with two Horizontal RED lines either side of the sleeve notes.
The sleeve is an IMPRESSIVE example in excellent condition. This is a particularly NICE sleeve throughout. The front panel still retains its DEEP GLOSS SHINE, with only the mildest record indentation. The reverse panel of the sleeve is - Very CLEAN, showing only minor age tanning to the opening edge,and light handling marks. and very mild corner bumps. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The spine edge too is UNDAMAGED and the wording to the spine edge is CLEARLY printed ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
A very nice example of this collectible BEATLES APPLE first Issue vinyl LP.
