Description
This vinyl record features the iconic album Yellow Submarine by The Beatles, released in 1969 on the Apple label. The LP is a first pressing with a vinyl matrix number of 1/1, and is in very good (VG) condition. The cardboard sleeve is also in very good (VG) condition and features the original cover. This is a mono recording with a record size of 12 inches, and a catalogue number of PMC 7070.
The record is a must-have for any Beatles fan, and is an excellent addition to any vinyl record collection. It is a piece of music history from the 1960s, and is sure to provide countless hours of listening pleasure.
I don’t usually sell records in this condition ( unless it’s face to face) but this particular pressing is considered to be VERY RARE because, around 1969 most people had already moved to listening to STEREO. MONO was being quickly fazed out in favour of Stereo pressings. So much so that the record company ( EMI / APPLE) only run a small batch of the MONO copies and much much higher number of the STEREO copies were pressed, because of the new demand for the stereo copies, so much so I think you’ll find that you would have to order it from your local record shop specially. This copy is the FIRST PRESS matrix numbers XEX 715 - 1 & XEX 716 -1 Mother Stampers are 1 GD PMC7070 MOMO Red lines on rear of sleeve ( above and below) No printers credits on the bottom of flip back. Now please if you’re looking for a mint record THIS IS NOT IT ——- I will start by saying all my records are graded under digital lighting that hides nothing. Also if I check the play grade, this is done on a small portable player with no amplification ( that hides very little) the records would all sound better played on a big system. Also with the record it would benefit from a deep professional clean, and even a slight buff ( none of this I do, I just give them a quick wipe) now Dow to the grade Record VG visual lots of light scuffs, bag scuffs, and some scratches ( nothing deep) play grade Side 1 Slight crackle at start and a couple of light pops ( that dissipates quite quickly) then plays well ( only noticeable crackle between tracks and a couple of pops. Side 2 Couple of ticks before it gets to playing service, then plays well ( slight crackle between tracks at times) The Cover VG signs of age related issues, could potentially clean up a little. The label has some writing on both sides ( a little CP initials ) No original inner sleeve Please see all photos, I’ll do my best to show most faults if they come out on here.
