The Beatles - Yellow Submarine
(Apple PMC 7070 UK LP 1969)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. It comes with its original plain black "Apple " paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has dark green Apple labels. They have the "Sold in UK..." text on them.
The matrix numbers & mother stampers are:
Side 1: XEX 715-1 (GR 2)
Side 2: XEX 716-1 (GR 1)
A genuine UK 1st Mono pressing. This is the rarest "Beatles" UK Mono Apple LP to locate .
Sleeve: There is a 4 cm tear at the front sleeve opening. There is some light or mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening too. There are some mild to more moderate creases in one corner. There is some light or mild ringwear. Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are some mild to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is a 3 cm hairline mark, on Side 2, that feels slightly to the touch. It causes some intermittent light, mild or more moderate clicks for approx 2 minutes. It goes partly across the 2nd & 3rd tracks on Side 2. There are about 4 other light hairline marks. These measure from 1.5 cm to 8 cm. Good+ condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The "Apple" plain black inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to mild rippling, ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. Side 1 plays VG to VG+ overall. Very well overall! There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Side 2 plays Good+ to VG overall. Apart from the aforementioned intermittent clicks, there is some mild & more moderate crackle in some places.
I shall place the vinyl in a separate plain paper inner sleeve. This will protect the original "Apple" black inner sleeve from any damage during transit.
